A complete front-door upgrade that incorporates a fingerprint reader, touchscreen keypad, and a complementary handle into a single matte-black ensemble. The set replaces the existing handle, latch, and deadbolt in one installation. The exterior handle is equipped with a sensor that reads fingerprints quickly and a capacitive touch panel for code entry, while the interior unit houses the electronics, batteries, and a thumb-turn deadbolt override. Because the lock communicates with the deadbolt wirelessly, no cross-bore wiring is needed, keeping the door structure intact.
Six ways to enter
- Fingerprint – up to 120 prints stored; sensor is activated by a light touch and reads the finger regardless of orientation.
- Touchscreen keypad – supports permanent and temporary codes with masked digit technology.
- App control – Bluetooth connection for nearby management; add the Wi‑Fi bridge (available separately) to control the lock from anywhere, share passes, and receive alerts.
- IC card – two MIFARE-compatible cards included; additional cards or fobs can be enrolled.
- Mechanical key – emergency key slot hidden beneath the handle escutcheon.
- Type‑C emergency port – connect a power bank to the exterior contacts to start the lock if batteries are fully flat.
Handle set design and finish
The matte black coating is applied via electrophoretic deposition, producing an even, hard-wearing layer that stands up to everyday handling, sunlight, and rain. Both the exterior and interior levers are formed from zinc alloy with a subtle, straight profile that suits modern and transitional door styles. The deadbolt is crafted from solid metal with a saw-proof insert and is thrown by the motor in under one second. A mechanical clutch inside the exterior lever disconnects the handle from the latch when the lock is engaged, whilst the interior lever always retracts the latch for a swift egress.
Auto-locking and flexible settings
Once the door closes, the deadbolt can extend automatically after a delay set in the app (10 seconds to 3 minutes). The feature can be paused from the interior panel or the app when you are going in and out frequently, for instance during a barbecue or when carrying shopping. A door sensor built into the deadbolt detects whether the door is ajar and can emit a brief alert if the bolt fails to extend.
User management and logs
- The app groups users into administrator, permanent member, and temporary guest tiers, each with distinct privileges.
- A chronological log shows which user accessed the door and by which method; it can be filtered by date and exported as a CSV file for record-keeping.
- Temporary passes can be shared as a string of digits via SMS or a messaging app without requiring the recipient to download anything.
Installation requirements
- Compatible with doors 35 mm to 55 mm thick.
- Adjustable backset: 60 mm or 70 mm.
- Fits standard UK/EU door preparations with a 54 mm bore hole for the deadbolt and a smaller through-hole for the handle spindle.
- All mounting hardware, strike plate, and a paper template are included.
- Installation generally takes under 40 minutes; a Phillips screwdriver is the only tool required.
Battery and upkeep
Power is supplied by four AA alkaline cells. A set typically lasts 9 to 12 months. The touchscreen panel glows an amber colour when the voltage drops, and a chime sequence plays after each unlock. To clean the fingerprint sensor and touchscreen, gently wipe with a microfibre cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners. The lock operates within a temperature range of -20 °C to 55 °C, although very cold conditions may slow the touchscreen response slightly; the fingerprint sensor remains functional.
