This deadbolt replaces a standard single-cylinder lock with a sleek, black-finished touchscreen panel on the outside and a battery-powered motor on the inside. It operates independently of a handle, so it can be paired with any existing door knob or lever. The responsive touchscreen wakes with a tap and supports multiple access modes: permanent codes, one-time visitor codes, scheduled codes, and app-driven unlock. Designed for both residential entrance doors and internal office doors, the deadbolt’s slim profile and muted backlight blend into contemporary architecture without drawing unnecessary attention.

Connectivity and remote features

  • Built-in Bluetooth – pair directly with a smartphone for local management, code generation, and log viewing when within range.
  • Optional Wi‑Fi bridge – once connected, the bridge enables full remote operation: you can lock or unlock the door from any location, create temporary passcodes for couriers or maintenance staff, and receive real-time notifications each time the deadbolt is used.
  • Voice assistant compatibility – integrates with selected smart-home ecosystems via the bridge, allowing hands-free status checks and routines.
  • All communication is encrypted; no recorded audio or video is captured by the lock.

Keypad and code management

The digital touchscreen displays numbers clearly in white or blue backlight, which automatically dims after a few seconds to conserve battery. The system supports up to 150 user codes, each between 4 and 10 digits. Advanced code features include:

  • Random digit mode – the panel shows a sequence of randomised numbers before and after the real code is entered, making it difficult for an observer to identify the actual digits.
  • One-time code – expires after a single use; perfect for a delivery driver or temporary guest.
  • Recurring code – valid only on specified days and time windows, suitable for a cleaner or dog walker.
  • Disposable code block – can be pre-generated in batches and handed out on a card.

Power and backup

  • Runs on four AA alkaline batteries, housed in the interior escutcheon.
  • Average battery life is 12 months with 10 daily operations.
  • Low-battery warning – the touchscreen flashes a battery icon and a chime sounds after unlocking.
  • Emergency power – a pair of contacts at the base of the exterior panel accepts a standard 9V battery to power the deadbolt momentarily.
  • Mechanical key override – a concealed key cylinder is located under a removable cover at the bottom of the touchscreen; two keys are provided.

Installation

The deadbolt fits standard door preparations with a bore hole of 54 mm and a backset of 60 mm or 70 mm. The latch includes a rectangular faceplate. Most doors between 35 mm and 50 mm thick are compatible without the need for an extension kit. Installation swaps the existing deadbolt; all fasteners and a reinforced strike plate are included. The process usually takes 20 to 30 minutes with basic tools. An illustrated manual and an online video guide walk through each step.

Daily use and durability

  • Outer panel is constructed from zinc alloy with an oleophobic coating that reduces fingerprint smudging.
  • Inner motor assembly uses self-lubricating gears tested for 100,000 cycles.
  • Operating temperature: -10 °C to 50 °C.
  • Auto-lock timer configurable from 5 to 60 seconds or completely disabled.
  • Volume adjustable – choose high, low, or silent mode.
